About
Pamela Chan, Principal
Pamela is a researcher, service designer, and executive strategist that strives to advance a more equitable and inclusive economy. She is passionate about aligning policy, programs, and services with the lived experiences of people in communities served and formed Channel Change to expand representation of community voice in social innovation.
Pamela started her career as a consumer researcher at AC Nielsen BASES guiding Fortune 500 companies in new product development. Following a heart for public service, she leveraged her analytical capabilities to promote the utilization of participatory research and human-centered design in economic asset building programs at New America and Prosperity Now. She also helped large-scale institutions start-up departments with bold visions. She served as the inaugural Associate Director of the Social Policy Institute at Washington University in St. Louis and the founding Executive Director of Harris County Department of Economic Equity & Opportunity.
In her free time, she enjoys creating new recipes for family and friends, listening to podcasts, and dabbling in colorful crafts. She holds a B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin, a J.D. from Northwestern University, and an M.P.A. from Harvard University.
